As per brochure, I want to spell out all costs as much as possible so there is no questions on this part. All prices are per person based on double occupancy:
13 Day - Best of Israel Trip
August 16-28, 2010
Cost of the trip - $2999 per person from DFW
This price is based on 25 people going (should we be able to get additional space, our final price could go lower if we get more than 25 or should we not get the 25, our price could go up a little bit). The price includes the $485 airline surcharge. Should the surcharge go up over the $485 amount, we will be asked to pay this additional charge at final payment or should the surcharge go down, Pilgrim tour will credit us the difference at final payment. I am sorry but this surcharge is a "game time" decision and we are at the airline's mercy and the price of oil. Each airlines sets their own surcharge price.
$300 deposit - By May 7, 2010 or until tour is full
Final payment for the tour must be made by June 16, 2010 - (I recommend you send your check in to Pilgrim Tours on the first of June so that it has plenty of time to get there.)
$2999.00 - 13 day Israel trip-Flights, hotels, breakfast & supper at hotels, all entrances per tour itinerary
135.00 - tips (driver-guide-hotel-porters etc)- collect this from you a few weeks before we leave.
150.00 - 12 lunches (estimated plus soft-drinks at dinner) - you will pay at restaurant
40.00 - Bethlehem side trip (Aug. 24 - first timers, we recommend this - must have 10 to go)
Other Expenses:
1. Spending money for gifts - this amount depends on your pocket book and remember it is a trip-of-a-life-time. At least $300-$500 per couple.
2. 200.00 - Travel insurance from Pilgrim Tours (I recommend getting insurance - either from Pilgrim Tours or at this web site: www.travelguard.com . I am not an insurance agent nor do I play one on TV so you need to make your own decision on which to buy. I will be glad to tell you what my thoughts are and what we have done in the past.
3. If you are flying out from another airport other than DFW to meet us in Newark, NJ, there may be an additional charge for flight and/or hotel if you have to get there a day early. We will check for you with Pilgrim Tours and get you a flight and the price difference.
Closing Remarks:
This is my 5th trip to Israel that I have led (plus I studied in Israel for a summer in 2005). I have always tried to make all prices clear as I know we are all on a tight budget. As we get closer to the trip, we will give out weekly e-mail updates on how many have signed up and what to pack etc. If you have any questions about the trip, please e-mail me and most times I will be able to answer the question or at least I will speak with Pilgrim Tours if I don't know.
